Volkswagen Tiguan build came out great

A friend sent me the MiniCubez page, and the idea of building a small version of my Volkswagen Tiguan was too good to pass up. I built it with my son over the weekend and we both had a great time comparing it with the real car outside. The first thing I did was take it outside for a photo next to the full-size Volkswagen Tiguan. I sent several reference pictures, and the final model reflects the matte gray finish with gloss black details really well. It is easily one of the most personal car items I own.

Volkswagen Beetle details done right

There are plenty of generic Volkswagen Beetle models around, but I wanted one based on my exact setup. The order was delivered at around the two-month mark. It required patience, although the finished result justified it. It arrived safely packaged and ready to build. My favorite part is the way they recreated the burgundy body and polished wheel faces. The model captures the personality of the real car, which is all I wanted.

The little details made it — Subaru WRX

I placed the order after seeing that they could work from regular photos of my Subaru WRX. I gave it to the person who helped me work on the Subaru WRX, and the reaction was perfect. The preview looked promising, but the purple wrap and the tiny decal near the rear window came across even better once it was built. It was opened as soon as it arrived and was finished the same night.

More accurate than expected — Subaru Outback

The goal was simple: get a desk-size version of my Subaru Outback with the same look as the real thing. I took my time with the build instead of rushing through it. Delivery took close to six weeks and tested my patience a little, but custom work like this naturally needs more time than a premade set. The finished design includes the dark blue wrap, black wheels and my small windshield banner, so it genuinely feels personal. With a quicker turnaround this would have been an easy five stars.

Looks like my actual Subaru Crosstrek

I ordered this for my garage shelf and used my own Subaru Crosstrek as the reference. The instructions were easy to follow and the finished shape is immediately recognizable. They got surprisingly close on the side decals and the exact color of the grille trim, even at this size. Seeing the same color combination in miniature is oddly satisfying. It is a small thing, but it makes me smile whenever I walk past the shelf.

Finally found my Mazda MX-5 Miata as a set

I have wanted a buildable version of my Mazda MX-5 Miata for ages, especially one that included my modifications. It is definitely a display build rather than something I would hand to a toddler. I noticed straight away that the blue brake calipers and the thin stripe along the side had all been worked into the design. The photos do not quite show how nice it looks once assembled.

Mazda CX-5 came out spot on

Honestly, I did not expect to find anyone making a set based on an actual customer-owned Mazda CX-5. What impressed me was how they included the racing stripe, rear spoiler and custom plate without making the model look overdone. The package arrived safely and all the pieces were sorted well enough to get started right away. No regrets with the custom order, the final build feels properly unique.

A personal version of my Mazda3

Quick review after finally building my Mazda3: this is much closer to the real car than I expected. The pieces were well protected in transit, which I appreciated. The tiny version of the stock paint color with my aftermarket wheels is what makes the whole build feel like my vehicle. This ended up being much more personal than an ordinary model kit.

My Nissan GT-R in miniature

I normally walk past model cars because they never match mine, but a custom Nissan GT-R was a different story. The designer paid attention to the pearl white paint, red mirror caps and custom plate, rather than only matching the basic body color. My dad spent several minutes comparing it with photos of the Nissan GT-R. A spare piece list would have been helpful, but the set was complete and the final build came out great.

Great desk-size Nissan 370Z

My brother suggested this after I complained that every Nissan 370Z model online looked completely stock. I changed one tiny piece position to match my car even more closely. The printed guide made sense and I only had to backtrack once during the build. They picked up the chrome delete, tinted lights and lowered stance, which were the things I cared about most. The model captures the personality of the real car, which is all I wanted.

Custom model with real character — Nissan Frontier

Not going to lie, ordering a model from a handful of phone photos felt like a bit of a gamble. My Nissan Frontier proved me wrong. I sent several reference pictures, and the final model reflects the two-tone body, bed rack and small rear-window decal really well. Exactly the sort of unusual car gift I had been looking for.

A proper custom Nissan Patrol

I wanted something small to remember my Nissan Patrol by before I change its current setup again. My favorite part is the way they recreated the pale blue paint with white wheels. Putting it together was a relaxing evening project, and the final result feels sturdy. The pieces were well protected in transit, which I appreciated. Overall, this turned out exactly the way I hoped it would.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 build came out great

This is one of those purchases that sounded unnecessary until I saw my own Hyundai Ioniq 5 taking shape on the table. I built it with my son over the weekend and we both had a great time comparing it with the real car outside. Even a friend who is not into cars understood why I liked it. The preview looked promising, but the white body, black trim and blue accent line came across even better once it was built. My only problem now is deciding which car to order next.

Hyundai Tucson details done right

The order was for my partner, but I ended up enjoying the Hyundai Tucson build just as much. It arrived safely packaged and ready to build. There were no mystery pieces or confusing gaps at the end. The finished design includes the satin green wrap and bronze wheel color, so it genuinely feels personal. Four stars because a couple of instruction steps could have been clearer, but the finished model looks excellent.

The little details made it — Hyundai Santa Fe

I do not usually write reviews, but there are not many places that will recreate your personal Hyundai Santa Fe as a brick set. The model was supposed to stay in my office, but it has somehow ended up in the living room. They got surprisingly close on the two-tone paint and the little sticker on the rear glass, even at this size. It made a great display piece and an even better conversation starter.

More accurate than expected — Kia EV6

Bought this after selling my Kia EV6. I wanted a reminder of the car without buying another full-size one. I noticed straight away that the orange wrap, dark wheels and front lip had all been worked into the design. I took my time with the build instead of rushing through it. Assembly was straightforward, and nothing important was missing from the package. The real car gets more attention, obviously, but the tiny one is not far behind.

Looks like my actual Kia Sportage

I kept seeing generic sets and none had the right look, so I finally submitted my Kia Sportage for a custom design. The instructions were easy to follow and the finished shape is immediately recognizable. What impressed me was how they included the carbon-look roof and bright red accents without making the model look overdone. The first thing I did was take it outside for a photo next to the full-size Kia Sportage. It feels made for an owner rather than produced for everyone, and that is the appeal.

Finally found my Kia Telluride as a set

The photos I sent were not professional at all, just normal phone pictures of my Kia Telluride, so the result surprised me. It is definitely a display build rather than something I would hand to a toddler. The tiny version of the gray wrap and the matching dark emblems is what makes the whole build feel like my vehicle. I am genuinely pleased with it and already have another vehicle in mind.

Worth waiting for this Lexus GX

I ordered the custom Lexus GX because I wanted a model that looked like the one sitting in my driveway, not a stock version. The designer paid attention to the factory red paint with the black roof and badges, rather than only matching the basic body color. I gave it to the person who helped me work on the Lexus GX, and the reaction was perfect. Waiting about a month and a half was longer than I hoped. Still, this was a made-to-order design, so the extra time was understandable. Four stars from me, with the missing star only being for how long it took to arrive.

A personal version of my Lexus RX

This was a birthday present to myself and I chose my Lexus RX since it is the car I have put the most work into. The pieces were well protected in transit, which I appreciated. They picked up the wheel design, roof color and number plate, which were the things I cared about most. It is easily one of the most personal car items I own.

My Lexus IS 350 in miniature

My Lexus IS 350 has a few personal touches that never show up on normal shelf models, so the custom option caught my attention. I sent several reference pictures, and the final model reflects the factory green paint and the small club decal really well. Seeing the same color combination in miniature is oddly satisfying. Really enjoyable from opening the box to placing the last piece.

Great desk-size Porsche 911

I found MiniCubez while searching for a buildable Porsche 911 and decided to send in photos of my own car. I changed one tiny piece position to match my car even more closely. The printed guide made sense and I only had to backtrack once during the build. My favorite part is the way they recreated the black paint, bronze wheels and gold badges. It was opened as soon as it arrived and was finished the same night.

Custom model with real character — Porsche Macan

I was a little unsure how much detail could be captured in a brick-built Porsche Macan, but I gave the custom order a try. The preview looked promising, but the unusual wheel color and the small logo on the door came across even better once it was built. I would happily recommend the custom option to anyone who cares about the small details.

A proper custom Porsche Cayenne

I bought this Porsche Cayenne model as a keepsake after finishing the latest changes on my real car. The finished design includes the silver body, yellow calipers and split-spoke wheels, so it genuinely feels personal. Putting it together was a relaxing evening project, and the final result feels sturdy. The pieces were well protected in transit, which I appreciated. The packaging was simpler than expected, while the actual model was anything but generic.
