How reviews are verified

Verification labels describe the evidence available for a review. They are not a guarantee that every statement in a review is factually correct.

What “Purchase verified” means

The badge is shown only when the record's verified-purchase field is true. It means the review was associated with purchase evidence or an order record during the collection or administrative verification process. Reviews without the badge may still describe genuine experiences; they simply have not received that purchase label.

An order reference is optional for public submissions and is never displayed publicly.

How reviews enter ReviewLedger

  • Customer submissions enter a pending queue and are not public until moderated.
  • Every published review retains a truthful source label.
  • Private email addresses, order references, and moderation notes are excluded from public pages and APIs.
  • Approved photos are published with the review; pending photos remain private.

Moderation and removal

Moderation checks relevance, first-hand experience, privacy, unlawful content, spam, conflicts of interest, copied material, and manipulation. It does not require a positive rating. Published content may later be removed or corrected when a policy violation, valid legal request, privacy issue, duplicate, or material authenticity problem is established.

Disputes and reports

Anyone can report a review and include its review reference. A report triggers a new moderation check; it does not automatically remove the review. ReviewLedger may request supporting information from the reviewer or relevant parties while protecting private fields.

See the full review guidelines for the rules applied to every rating.
