The cap stayed backwards
I worried they'd tidy up my son's backwards cap in the design. They kept it as photographed and he thinks it's hilarious.

Happy now, frustrated before
It's a lovely figure and my wife has put it on the mantelpiece. I'm pleased she likes it. I also spent the week before our anniversary trying to get a clear delivery answer and it missed the date. Those two feelings are both still there, to be honest.

Made our parents laugh
My parents have an old photo where they're both wearing enormous jumpers. We used that for the couple figure rather than a recent posed portrait. They recognised the outfits straight away and spent the rest of the evening arguing about which year it was taken. A very successful present, I'd say.

Blue jacket, familiar face
They got his blue jacket right, even the slightly turned-up collar. The face is the part I was nervous about and it's lovely. It looks like him on one of his good days, which made this a really nice gift to give.

Six gifts at dinner, four still waiting

My brother laughed at the resemblance
His clothes are immediately recognisable, but the face is what made him laugh. They've caught his usual expression so well. He showed it to everyone at dinner and has sent me a photo of it on his shelf already. I'd call that a win.

Nailed the relaxed look
I wanted a figure of my boyfriend in his usual clothes, not dressed as something he never wears. The photo I sent was very ordinary, him standing outside our flat. Somehow that's why I like the finished thing so much. It looks like him on any normal Tuesday.

Quite a good likeness
My husband is difficult to buy for and actively dislikes anything with a slogan on it. A small figure in his everyday shirt turned out to be a good compromise. He said 'that's my shirt' before he'd even properly looked at the face, then spent ages examining it.

The walking stick was important, so I asked about it before ordering. They explained clearly and showed it in the design. It arrived safely and looks lovely. That detail makes the little figure feel so much more like the person I wanted.
